First, our dentist will use and ultrasonic scaler and small instruments to remove plaque and tartar from the root surface of your teeth. Then he will use a small laser to direct light between the gum and the tooth, removing the diseased tissue and reducing bacteria in the area. The area will then be thoroughly cleaned so that your body can heal naturally.

Laser dentistry is very safe. When operating within the appropriate guidelines, trained dentists perform procedures that are as safe or safer than other forms of dental treatment. Dental lasers are approved by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). With the correct training and proper eye protection, laser dentistry is very safe.
